Your cocktail class begins with a warm welcome and a snack in hand, followed by an engaging, live demonstration from a skilled bartender who knows their way around the classics — think Negronis, Old Fashioneds, and the perfect martini.
You’ll learn the “why” behind each ingredient, the proper shake versus stir technique, and the little secrets that turn a good drink into a great one. Everyone gets hands-on time behind the bar, measuring, muddling, and mixing their own creations under expert guidance. Curious about making fresh pasta but don’t know where to start? Josephine in Avondale is hosting a Beginner Pasta Making Class!
This hands-on, no-pressure workshop is perfect for total beginners — no fancy equipment or experience needed. We’ll walk you through every step of the process, from mixing and kneading the dough to shaping classic pastas like fettuccine and ravioli. You’ll leave with new skills, great memories, and delicious pasta to show for it.

Depending on the number of guests at your party, we offer different vignettes within our space that create a convivial dining environment. Pair our sophisticated design and welcoming ambiance with customized, locally sourced menus prepared by our culinary and beverage team.

Il Cantuccio
This intimate private dining room offers complete privacy for celebratory occasions, business meetings, and the like. A large handmade Murano glass chandelier hangs from the center of the room and the main wall is adorned with a beautiful dried floral centerpiece created by a local florist, both serve as the focal point for your dining experience. Pending availability and when booked in conjunction with our lounge, this space also serves as a reception area and place to gather for an aperitif before dinner.

Il Salotto
Our sophisticated lounge is tucked away in the back of Josephine, offering a fully private experience for your next event. A pair of striking Italian Murano glass tulip chandeliers adorn the room and offer ambient lighting, while local artist Ashley Woodson Bailey’s wallpaper sets the tone for a beautiful and Instagram-worthy dining experience. This space offers banquet seating, as well as additional standalone tables that can be set in a variety of ways.

Il Ristorante
With advance notice, Josephine is available for a full restaurant rental. Our restaurant offers different vignettes that create a convivial dining environment. These spaces include our main dining room, a full-service bar with seating, our lounge area that connects to our private dining area, and outdoor seating if needed.
